The U.S. Military developed a method to improve their canine program in order to give the dog a superior advantage which became known to the public as the “Super Dog” program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have significant and enduring effects when applied during a specific window of a pup’s life – days 3-16. These days are a period of rapid neurological growth.

The program consists of 5 exercises that produce neurological stimulation which do not occur naturally during this early period. These exercises are to be employed once a day on each pup:

  • Tactical stimulation (between the toes)

  • Head held erect

  • Head pointed down

  • Supine position

  • Thermal stimulation

Five benefits have been observed in dogs exposed to these exercises:

  • Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)

  • Stronger heart beats

  • Stronger adrenal glands

  • More tolerance to stress

  • Greater resistance to disease (esp. certain cancers and infectious diseases)

When tested, stimulated pups were discovered to be more active and exploratory than non-stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations. They were also observed to be calmer in the test environment, made fewer errors, and gave only an occasional distress sound when stressed.

We employ ENS in addition to the routine handling and bonding we provide to each puppy. We are happy and excited to offer what appears to be an added advantage for your precious puppy.
